It’s May–the formal beginning of the real estate season–and the stats confirm it. 57 new listings hit the market while 61 went under contract. Translation? It’s a lot easier being a Seller than being a Buyer! 45 sold, reflecting the prior month’s increasing activity. Interestingly, we continue to see a large number of properties (52) decrease prices. It’s not clear whether this reflects Sellers who reached too high on the price, or properties that being passed over by Buyers. My suspicion is that it’s the former.
